The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced today that Tony Award-winning actress Celia Keenan-Bolger will receive the 2025 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in recognition of her outstanding advocacy and humanitarian efforts through the arts.

For more than a decade, Keenan-Bolger has used her platform to support civic engagement, social justice, and community care. She co-founded Broadway For Obama, served on the advisory board of Broadway Impact, and has worked with organizations like the New York Civil Liberties Union and the Entertainment Community Fund. In 2019, she was honored with the first-ever Michael Friedman Freedom Award for her continued commitment to advocacy.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-founded Broadway Feeds Bellevue to deliver meals to frontline healthcare workers and launched the podcast Sunday Pancakes, offering thoughtful conversations with fellow artists about connection and resilience. She also co-established the Activist Artist Endowed Scholarship Fund to support socially engaged students in musical theatre at the University of Michigan.

Most recently, Keenan-Bolger has served as an end-of-life doula, offering compassionate support to individuals and families facing loss. Her work has touched countless lives both on and off stage, exemplifying the spirit of the Isabelle Stevenson Award.

The honor will be presented at the 78th Annual Tony Awards, taking place Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
