Diego Rodriguez, James Olivas and Bella Brown Join Rachel Zegler in Broadway’s Evita
Rachel Zegler will reunite with her London co-stars when Jamie Lloyd’s production of Evita arrives on Broadway next year. Diego Rodriguez will reprise his role as Che, James Olivas will make his Broadway debut as Juan Perón, and Bella Brown will return as The Mistress and alternate Eva Perón.
The Broadway ensemble will feature Giuseppe Bausilio, Mely Berdion, Brandon Borkowsky, Ayla Ciccone-Burton, Grace Conrad, Christian Jesús Galvis, Tommy Gedrich, Sydney Jones, Natasha Leaver, Maggie Likcani, Mireia Mambo, Sebastian Martinez, Justice Moore, Pepe Muñoz, Julio Rey, Ken San Jose, Victor Carrillo Tracey, Damani Van Rensalier and J’Kobe Wallace. Alexis Hasbrouck, AK Naderer, Regine Sophia, Francisco Thurston, Bryce Valle and Michael Bryan Wang will serve as swings. The full Broadway creative team and casting for The Child will be announced later.
Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, the revival begins previews at the Winter Garden Theatre on February 27, 2027, ahead of a March 25 opening night.
Zegler returns to Broadway following her debut opposite Kit Connor in Romeo + Juliet. Her performance as Eva Perón in London earned her an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical, a London Standard Theatre Award and a WhatsOnStage Award. The production played a sold-out engagement at the London Palladium and received two Olivier Awards and five WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best Musical Revival.

A beacon of hope to some and a threat to others, her star shone brightly as she captured the nation’s heart and divided its soul. Evita features an iconic score including “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “Oh What A Circus,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and the Oscar-winning “You Must Love Me.”
