Lincoln Center Theater will launch its new season with a revival of the Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime, beginning September 26 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The limited 14-week run, directed by Lear deBessonet in her first season as Artistic Director, officially opens October 16 and runs through January 4, 2026.
The production stars Joshua Henry as Coalhouse Walker, Jr., Caissie Levy as Mother, and Brandon Uranowitz as Tateh. All three starred in the recent City Center gala performance and return to bring the story to life on Broadway.
Based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, Ragtime tells the story of three families, Black, Jewish immigrant, and white upper-class, navigating life in early 20th-century America. It features music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by the late Terrence McNally, all of whom won Tony Awards for their work on the original production.
Tickets go on sale to members May 13 at 10am ET and to the general public May 28 at 12pm ET. The full season lineup will be announced soon. For more information on Ragtime at Lincoln Center Theater, visit LCT.org
