McKenzie Kurtz, Elizabeth Teeter, and Olivia Hardy Join Heathers

Three of Broadway’s fiercest young talents are heading to Westerberg High this summer. McKenzie Kurtz, Elizabeth Teeter, and Olivia Hardy will step into the iconic roles of Heather Chandler, Heather MacNamara, and Heather Duke in the upcoming New York return of Heathers The Musical.

The fan-favorite musical begins performances June 22, 2025, at New World Stages for a limited run through September 28. Featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, and direction by Andy Fickman, the production marks the first time New York audiences will see the updated version that captivated London.

McKenzie Kurtz, known for her standout turns in Frozen, Wicked, and the recent The Heart of Rock and Roll, will take on the role of Heather Chandler—the ruthless queen bee whose reign sets the story in motion. Olivia Hardy, who made a splash in Kimberly Akimbo and toured in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, will play the scheming and power-hungry Heather Duke. Elizabeth Teeter, who earned acclaim in Beetlejuice and The Crucible, brings emotional depth to Heather MacNamara, the most vulnerable of the trio.

They join previously announced stars Lorna Courtney (& Juliet) as Veronica Sawyer and Casey Likes (Back to the Future The Musical) as J.D., with additional casting to be revealed soon.
