Broadway is about to get a little more magical, and a lot more green. Illusionist Rob Lake, dubbed “The World’s Greatest Illusionist” by NBC, will make his Broadway debut this fall with Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests The Muppets. The limited holiday engagement begins previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on October 28, with opening night set for November 6. The production will run through January 18, 2026.
Joining him on stage are Kermit the Frog and his fellow Muppets, who will lend their signature humor to Lake’s illusions. “Like so many people around the world, I grew up with The Muppets,” Lake said. “To work with them and create new illusions for them has been the most rewarding and surprisingly familiar moment. It’s like I have known them my entire life.”
For Lake, the milestone is a lifelong dream fulfilled. “I’ve been performing magic my entire life, and it has always been my greatest dream to perform my show on Broadway,” he shared.
Produced by Rob Lake Productions, Joe Quenqua, and Glass Half Full Productions, the creative team includes Bethany Pettigrew as creative consultant and Kevin Zak as script consultant. Lake, whose career spans more than 60 countries and television appearances including America’s Got Talent, is currently performing at Atlantis Bahamas before returning to Miami’s Arsht Center in September.
