Tony Awards Nominations to Be Announced Thursday Morning

Theater fans, mark your calendars: the nominations for the 78th Annual Tony Awards will be announced live this Thursday, May 1, 2025. Tony Award winners Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce will reveal this year’s contenders, with a selection of categories airing at 8:30 AM ET on CBS Mornings and the full list following at 9:00 AM ET via the Tony Awards YouTube channel.

Paulson, fresh off her 2024 Tony win for Appropriate, and Pierce, a recent Tony nominee for Death of a Salesman, will deliver the news from Sofitel New York.
