Broadway is about to get a whole lot greener and a whole lot more magical. “Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests The Muppets” is bringing spellbinding illusions and classic Muppet mayhem to the Broadhurst Theatre for the 2025 holiday season. Illusionist Rob Lake and Kermit the Frog shared laughs, nostalgia, and a little enchantment as they prepared for their Broadway debut.

“It’s a lifelong dream come true,” said Lake. “I’ve worked every day of my life to bring my magic to Broadway, and it only made sense to invite Kermit and some of his friends along.”

Kermit added, “I can’t think of a more fun—or dare I say magical—way to be on Broadway than to join my friend Rob for this adventure.”

Of course, no Muppet story is complete without Miss Piggy. When asked about her absence from the press day, Kermit quipped, “I did not tell her, she doesn't know.” then admitted she had been sent on an “all-expense-paid trip to Schenectady” to keep things peaceful.

Lake, known as “The World’s Greatest Illusionist” (NBC), shared that working with Kermit and the gang feels like coming home. “I grew up watching The Muppets, and to now create illusions with them—it’s like I’ve known them my whole life.”

Kermit reflected on what the show means to him. “Any trick that brings laughter and wonder to the audience is my kind of magic,” he said. When asked about his favorite trick, he smiled, “Pulling a rabbit out of a hat is classic, but at the Muppet Theater, you never know if it’ll be a rabbit, a chicken, or maybe even a penguin.”

The duo also touched on the show’s heart. “The rainbow connection is about following your dreams and finding friends who share your sense of wonder,” Kermit shared. “That’s what this show is for us—two dreamers coming together to create something special.”

Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests The Muppets plays at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) from October 28, 2025, through January 18, 2026. Tickets are available at www.RobLakeBroadway.com.
